Fendi
Family tradition and craftsmanship are the enduring qualities of the Fendi brand.
The fashion house was founded in Rome, Italy in 1925 by Adele and Edoardo Fendi, a husband and wife team. The company started out selling fur items and small leather goods. It was not long before the next generation of Fendi’s, a team of 5 sisters, would greatly expand the company to become the Iconic brand we know and love today. In 1965 Karl Lagerfeld was hired as the creative director for ready to wear and fur collections. He served there until his death in 2019, making it the longest collaboration between a fashion house and a designer in fashion history.
Silvia Fendi currently sits as creative director for the house. She is responsible for many iconic designs like the classic baguette, peekaboo bag, and the spy bag.
